Family Worship Guide: Week of July 24th, 2022
Published July 24, 2022
Parents, we recommend you grab the Family Worship Bible Guide for your family worship. Then remember to simply pray with your family and sing a familiar song after you read and discuss a passage of Scripture. We suggest you do this either first thing in the morning or at dinner while everyone is gathered around the dinner table or right before bed. The point is to establish daily rhythms of worship in your home. The flow can look like this:
Catechism Questions and Answers:
21. In what condition did God make Adam and Eve? He made them holy and happy. (Genesis 1:26–28; Psalm 8:4–8)
22. Did Adam and Eve stay holy and happy? No. They sinned against God. (Genesis 3:1–7; Ecclesiastes 7:29; Hosea 6:7 where “men” = Adam)
Memory Verse:
Psalm 122:1: "I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of the Lord!"
- Read a passage of Scripture and discuss (2-5 minutes)
- Pray (2-3 minutes)
- Sing (3-5 minutes)
